Your Talent Competitors
- Which companies are you actually competing with for the same candidates?
- Which specific companies would you want to hire from?
We'll map these out in more detail later for Sourcing — this is just to compare your Talent Brand.

Are you competitive?
- Versus the companies you found in column 1, where do you stand?
- Check job ads, compensation details, who they are hiring, the founders' background, their funding, what are their values? How compelling is the mission?
- Compare to your notes in each quick activity. Are you being realistic with who you're trying to hire?

Review
- Which of the 4 pillars are your strengths vs your competitors?
- Where are you weakest?
- Make notes for each point vs the market on average, or compared to specific companies. Be ruthlessly honest here…
eg.
“We offer lower salary than companies X, Y, Z by ~10–15%, but we have a stronger founding team, our technical challenges are more compelling for XYZ people and our mission has more positive impact on society.”
Tip: Be ruthlessly honest in column 3. The founders who win exceptional hires are the ones who know exactly where they lose — and compensate for it with the pillars where they're strongest.
